DeltaEM™
The Delta Electromagnetic Gradiometer (DeltaEM) survey system provides a tool that can locate subsurface geophysical anomalies with greater sensitivity, range, and flexibility than competitive instrumentation. The Gradiometer for underground structure detection is a mobile unit comprised of a global positioning system (GPS), two horizontal, magnetic dipole antennas, a radio frequency modem, and a rechargeable lithium battery.
This instrument features an electronic design that enables a high signal-to-noise ratio, allowing the gradiometer to detect the smallest possible indication of abnormality in electrical noise. The two gradient antennas, along with the coherent receiver and the use of multiple frequency operation, enhance high sensitivity enabling a wide range of detection, from shallow to more deeply buried anomalies. Detection in real time with calculated burial depth and location of the anomaly are key parameters in this high-performance system. The instrument can be hand carried or mounted on an all terrain vehicle. It also has the potential to be mounted on an unmanned aircraft. |
