R&D Magazine’s R&D 100 Award is an annual award based on technical significance, uniqueness, and usefulness compared to competing projects and technologies. The award recognizes research and development advances in multiple disciplines from companies worldwide. “The winning of an R&D 100 Award provides a mark of excellence known to industry, government, and academia as proof that the product is one of the most innovative ideas of the year,” (www.rdmag.com).
Stolar has been the recipient of six R&D 100 Awards.
The New Mexico Flying 40 is an annual selection recognizing the state’s top 40 revenue-generating technology companies. Stolar has been the recipient of the New Mexico Flying 40 award for 12 consecutive years. The Albuquerque Journal’s Business Outlook, along with Technology Ventures Corporation, KPMG LLP, and New Mexico Bank & Trust, co-sponsor the annual awards program. The three award categories are based on revenue and revenue growth.
Stolar was the recipient of the 2009 VIVA Award. The Association of Commerce and Industry in New Mexico presents this award that stands for Vision Investment Vitality and Action. The award is given to businesses demonstrating growth and vision, as well as a commitment to their employees, communities and the state as a whole. There are eight award categories, which include five regions of the state along with the non-profit and exemplary service award categories. (include press release)
The New Mexico Business Weekly’s Fast-Tracker award is an annual award given to 25 New Mexico businesses based on revenue growth and employee growth over a two-year period. The businesses considered are put into three categories; small, medium, and large. Stolar is categorized as a medium company and was recognized on the list in 2006 and 2007.
